🩺 Our first graders are learning about body systems and welcomed a special guest—a nurse! She shared about her job and what it looks like to assess a patient, helping students connect their classroom learning to how nurses care for others.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and bringing learning to life for our little Firebirds! ❤️

🌟Leadership in Action in 4th Grade!

Mrs. Mueller’s 4th graders were putting their leadership skills into action during Leadership Time! Students worked together through a fun Reader’s Theater, practicing teamwork, communication, and confidence as they took on different roles. They also took time to reference their classroom WIG (Wildly Important Goal) and connect their daily actions to the goals they are working toward together. It was a great example of our Firebirds leading, learning, and growing while having fun along the way! 🔥❤️💙

🏰Travleing Back To Medieval Time with CKLA!

Mrs. Leach’s 4th graders are traveling back in time through their CKLA Medieval Times unit! 🏰📚 Students have been digging into their texts, learning new vocabulary, and building their knowledge about what life was like during the Middle Ages.

During their CKLA lesson, students worked together to read, discuss, and think more deeply about the content. We loved seeing our Firebirds using what they already know, asking questions, and making connections as they explored this fascinating time in history.

Who knew ELA could take you all the way back to the days of castles, knights, and medieval life? ⚔️🏰 Way to Lead, Learn, and Grow, 4th grade! ❤️💙🔥

Firebirds Rocking Their New ID Badges!

Our Firebirds are doing a GREAT job with their new student ID badges! Students are learning the responsibility of wearing and keeping track of their badges each day, and we are already seeing the benefits. One big win has been in the cafeteria! 🍎🥪 Students are able to move through the lunch line more quickly and efficiently by using their badges, helping us spend less time waiting and more time enjoying lunch with friends. We are so proud of how quickly our students have adjusted to this new routine. Way to go, Firebirds! ❤️💙🔥

Dr. Cevasco Is In!
First graders had a special visitor in the classroom—“Dr. Cevasco!” 🥼 Mrs. Cevasco found a fun and engaging way to kick off their new CKLA unit all about the human body. Students are beginning their learning by exploring the skeletal system and discovering how our bones help support, protect, and move our bodies. By transforming into “Dr. Cevasco,” she brought the learning to life and had our young Firebirds excited and ready to learn more about the amazing human body. What a great example of making learning memorable and FUN! 🦴❤️💙🔥

Learning the 8 Habits in Kindergarten!
Mrs. Weymouth’s kindergarten Firebirds have been working hard to learn all about the 8 Habits of Highly Effective People! Students are learning what each habit means and how they can use these important leadership skills at school, at home, and with their friends.

It is exciting to see our youngest Firebirds beginning to understand that everyone can be a leader! By building these habits early, students are learning how to make good choices, work together, set goals, and be the best version of themselves. Way to go, Mrs. Weymouth’s leaders! ❤️💙🔥

Our 4th-grade Firebirds have been doing some incredible learning in Technology with Ms. Grau! Students have been learning how a computer network works, including the roles of the server, ISP, modem, router, and cables.

After learning about each component, students put their knowledge into action with Spheros! This hands-on activity transformed an abstract technology concept into an interactive challenge where students had to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and determine solutions when things didn’t go as planned.

One of the best parts was watching students collaborate, communicate, use technology vocabulary, and think critically as they worked. Rather than simply being given the answers, students were encouraged to persevere and work through challenges together.

What a great example of our Firebirds learning by doing, thinking critically, and synergizing with one another! ❤️💙🔥

Our Firebirds are always finding ways to show kindness—even to our smallest visitors! During recess, Louis noticed a little frog friend who had found himself right in the middle of all the action and adventure on the playground.

Louis took the initiative to make sure our new friend was carefully relocated to a quieter, more private outdoor space, where the excitement of recess wouldn’t interfere with his day. 🐸🌿

What a great example of being proactive, showing compassion, and caring for the world around us. Thanks, Louis, for looking out for one of our tiniest Firebirds…or should we say, Firefrogs! 🔥🐸
