Creative Writers in 3rd Grade!🐸
Mrs. Grossius’ 3rd graders have been showing off their amazing writing skills as they completed their end-of-unit writing assignment about disguising Mr. Toad! Students put their creativity and imagination to work as they developed clever ideas for how to disguise Mr. Toad while applying the writing skills they have been learning throughout their unit. It was wonderful to see our Firebirds bringing their ideas to life through writing! We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and growth as young authors! Way to go, 3rd grade! ❤️💛

It Takes a Village to Help Our Firebirds SOAR!
We LOVE when our Firebird families and community members get involved in our classrooms! This week, one of our amazing Firebird moms volunteered her time to help our kindergarten students practice their letters and sounds! What a wonderful way to support our youngest learners as they build a strong foundation in reading! We are so thankful for our families who give their time and talents to help our students grow. It truly takes a village, and we have the BEST Firebird village around! ❤️ Thank you for helping our Firebirds Lead, Learn, and Grow! 🔥

🔥 Fire Safety Fun with Our 2nd Graders!🚒
Our 2nd-grade Firebirds had some very special visitors from the Wentzville Fire Department! Firefighters stopped by to teach our students all about fire safety, including important ways to stay safe and what to do in case of an emergency. Our students loved learning from these real-life heroes! A HUGE thank you to the Wentzville Fire Department for taking the time to educate our Firebirds and help keep our community safe! ❤️🚒

Mrs. Mueller’s 4th graders were putting their leadership skills into action during Leadership Time! Students worked together through a fun Reader’s Theater, practicing teamwork, communication, and confidence as they took on different roles. They also took time to reference their classroom WIG (Wildly Important Goal) and connect their daily actions to the goals they are working toward together. It was a great example of our Firebirds leading, learning, and growing while having fun along the way! 🔥❤️💙

🐍 Fifth grade’s school camp adventure included a reptile show! Our Firebirds got an up-close look at some fascinating reptiles and learned more about these amazing animals. What a fun way to bring learning to life! ❤️

🏰Travleing Back To Medieval Time with CKLA!
Mrs. Leach’s 4th graders are traveling back in time through their CKLA Medieval Times unit! 🏰📚 Students have been digging into their texts, learning new vocabulary, and building their knowledge about what life was like during the Middle Ages.
During their CKLA lesson, students worked together to read, discuss, and think more deeply about the content. We loved seeing our Firebirds using what they already know, asking questions, and making connections as they explored this fascinating time in history.
Who knew ELA could take you all the way back to the days of castles, knights, and medieval life? ⚔️🏰 Way to Lead, Learn, and Grow, 4th grade! ❤️💙🔥

Firebirds Rocking Their New ID Badges!
Our Firebirds are doing a GREAT job with their new student ID badges! Students are learning the responsibility of wearing and keeping track of their badges each day, and we are already seeing the benefits. One big win has been in the cafeteria! 🍎🥪 Students are able to move through the lunch line more quickly and efficiently by using their badges, helping us spend less time waiting and more time enjoying lunch with friends. We are so proud of how quickly our students have adjusted to this new routine. Way to go, Firebirds! ❤️💙🔥
