Flint Hill Elementary School

Our 2nd graders had a sweet learning experience thanks to Officer Thorpe! As a beekeeper himself, Officer Thorpe shared his real-life experiences, expertise, and passion for bees with our students.

This visit connected perfectly to what students are learning in class and brought their science content to life through authentic, hands-on learning. We are so grateful for community members who take the time to share their knowledge and inspire our Firebirds!

Our annual School Spelling Bee was a big success, showcasing the hard work, confidence, and perseverance of our incredible spellers. Students represented their classes with pride and demonstrated impressive spelling skills through multiple challenging rounds.
Congratulations to Devanandan Nair, our Spelling Bee Champion! We are so proud of all of our participants for their courage and dedication, and we wish our winner the best of luck as they move on to the next level of competition. Way to go, Firebirds! 🔥

Firebirds are spreading cheer, showing school pride, and having fun all season long. We love seeing our students and staff join in on the holiday spirit each day!

Ms. Cannon’s Literacy Group has been working hard and growing as readers every day! We love seeing our Firebirds build confidence, practice new skills, and celebrate their learning together.

A big thank you to Justin and Arie for being model bus riders and earning a Positive Bus Referral! These Firebirds consistently show respectful behavior, make safe choices, and set a great example for others.

Winter chill has arrived, and our Firebirds are missing those warm-weather recess days! ❄️❤️☀️

Our fifth graders were hard at work in the library with Mrs. Lamzik, practicing how to navigate the Dewey Decimal System like true researchers!

12 Days of Spirit Wear has begun! Candy Cane Lane Day

Our fifth graders stepped up to the mic and found their voices during a powerful Poetry Slam in Mrs. Reed’s classroom! Students shared original poems filled with creativity, emotion, humor, and heart.

FHE Twelve Days of Spirit Wear Starts tomorrow, 12/4/25

From classrooms to hallways, our Firebirds are engaged, curious, and shining bright! Our days are filled with hands-on activities, rich discussions, creative thinking, and students taking ownership of their learning.

Our amazing school counselor, Mrs. Wrigley, and our incredible Mental Health Professional, Miss Booker, brought all the Thanksgiving joy, showing up dressed as the cutest turkeys ever!

Our creative first graders brought the magic of the Macy’s Parade right into Flint Hill! Inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway, students designed and crafted their very own parade balloons and proudly showcased them in our hallways.
