PPI logo   Mrs. Jaime Redding, Ed. S., will join the Fort Zumwalt School District effective July 1 as the principal at Flint Hill Elementary School. The school, which opened in 2016, is the district’s newest elementary school and serves about 320 students, K - 5, in the far northwest portion of the district near the GM plant.
A Missouri State alum, Redding has a masters in Education Administration from Missouri Baptist University and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University. In her 20 years as an educator, she has served as a Kindergarten teacher, instructional coach and assistant principal. She comes to Fort Zumwalt from Columbia Public Schools.
“In addition to my role as an educator, I am first and foremost a mother and a proud Army wife,” Redding wrote in a letter to the school community where she introduced herself, her husband, four children and grandchild. Redding says the many moves the family has made with the military over the years have provided her with a unique perspective on school and how it is different from place to place.
Redding Yearbook   “I am excited to get to know my new students and staff members. I am ready to call Flint Hill Elementary my new home and use my experiences along my 20 year journey to serve the Flint Hill community,” she says.
One of Redding’s primary goals is to ensure that the traditions and successes of the school continue for all students and staff. “As the new Principal of Flint Hill Elementary, one of my goals is to build and foster relationships with my school and community.”
Away from work, you’ll find Redding at soccer or baseball games, reading up on current trends in education or maybe watching her favorite movie, Grease. “It brings back fond memories of my days in college as a member of Tri-Sigma sorority,” she says.
