This is the image for the news article titled Safe FirebirdsOctober is a busy month!  In addition to parent/teacher conferences, Trunk or Treat, and fall parties, we will be celebrating the last two weeks of October with Digital Citizenship Week and Red Ribbon Week. 

Digital Citizenship Week:  The FZ district theme this year is "5P's for a Positive Digital Footprint". Each day will have a new video.  We will celebrate at FHE with dress-up theme days.  Students will also be learning about digital citizenship in technology classes in October and November.

Profiles: Use nickname and profile picture that doesn' t show your face.

Protect: Don't bully back, tell someone. Keep evidence.

Privacy: Keep your passwords and personal details secure. Don't post pictures of others without their consent.

Positive: Make sure online information about you is as positive as possible. Be an upstander when witnessing cyberbullying.

Permission: Make sure you have an adult's permission to use a new site or app. Respect copyright and give credit to sources.

Digital Citizenship Dress Up Days

Red Ribbon Week:   Red Ribbon Week will be held October 23-31.  The national theme this year is "Your Future is Key, So Stay Drug-Free".  The students will be given bracelets to wear this week. Student Council has come up with some fun dress-up days for the three days we will be in school that week. 

Please bring in canned food items or nonperishables.  We will be making donations to local food pantry LINC. Thank You in advance for your donations.  The class that brings in the most items will receive a prize at lunch the following week.
